Since becoming a nurse in 1965, Hannah’s career has taken her to clinical practice, academia, work with government, the private sector, and more. Dr. Hannah was recognized for her national and international pioneering work and efforts to promote the use of information technology to enhance health care. Dr. Hannah is the President, HECS Inc.; Adjunct Professor, School of Nursing, University of Victoria; Informatics Nursing Advisor, Canadian Nurses Association & Executive Project Lead, C-HOBIC. Dr. Hannah says that this is appointment is “a huge honour. It’s an enormous privilege. It’s overwhelming really”.
