Bio
Terri Baker spent 18 years in clinical practice at Surrey Memorial Hospital in Child and Youth Services and the Special Care Nursery in various roles, including clinical resource nurse and clinical nurse educator. In these roles, she supported medically fragile children and families transitioning from acute care to their home communities. Terri has taught for the UBC School of Nursing and the Justine Institute of BC.
Since 2005, Terri has worked in Health Informatics as a Clinical Information Specialist, then Clinical Informatics Coordinator, supporting the medCONNECT and myHEALTHSystem initiatives to develop a standardized and consolidated electronic health record across Fraser Health (FH) acute sites. In 2011, she became the manager supporting the PARIS implementation in community and in 2015; she accepted the role of Director, Health Care Information Systems responsible for acute clinical support, community and primary care systems including FH core clinical systems PARIS and Profile. In August 2019, Terri accepted a new position as Chief Clinical Information Officer for FH.
Terri holds a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of British Columbia, where her focus was on education and advanced practice.
