Dr. Karen Furlong is a Teaching Professor with the Department of Nursing and Health Sciences, University of New Brunswick (UNB) Saint John. Karen’s doctoral research focused on education and training initiatives for registered nurses who were preparing for and working with an electronic health record (EHR). Karen is currently working with several registered nurses in Atlantic Canada in forming the first CNIA Chapter. Other professional/research activities are closely aligned with Karen’s interest in supporting faculty with the integration of informatics content into nursing curricula.
