8:00 PDTPre-conference workshops 1 & 21) Nursing, Artificial Intelligence, Clinical Decision Support: Dr. Richard Booth and Lisa Totton - Lisa will provide an overview of a sample of reports created in Microsoft Power BI for Horizon Health Network, including barriers, lessons learned, and future next steps. Richard will provide insights related to his use of both provincial level healthcare administrative and social media datum to generate practice insights and predictive analyses. After the conclusion of Lisa and Richard’s respective presentations, group discussion related to the use of data in nursing practice will be facilitated. 2) User-Centred Design (Patient and Nursing presenters): Dr. Leanne Currie and David Wells 12:00 PDTPre-conference workshops 3 & 43) Introduction to Nursing Informatics: Drs. Karen Furlong and Manal Kleib - Content will be directed to the informatics novice and include practical illustrations of core informatics concepts and competencies that are essential for all nurses. 4) Virtual Care Implications for Canadian Nurses and Patients: Megan Stowe RN/Executive Director Vancouver Coastal Health and Rachel Johnson RN-NP/Remote Presence Clinical Coordinator - This session will be an exciting look at virtual care advancement and implementation including remote presence technology and how these tools are changing care for nurses and patients! |
