Pamela Farthing RN, BA, MSc, PhD is faculty in the Saskatchewan Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. As an RN in Saskatchewan for over 25 years, she has practiced in long-term care, rural nursing, and neonatal intensive care. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Science in Medicine (Community Health and Epidemiology) and a PhD (Nursing) from the University of Saskatchewan, a diploma in nursing from the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences, specialized graduate training in Public Health and the Agricultural Rural Ecosystem. The focus of her dissertation was the type one diabetes (T1D) management experiences of adolescents with T1D and their parents. Her additional research experience includes pediatric respiratory epidemiology, rural advanced nursing education, informatics, and diabetes care.
