Tracy currently is Senior Consultant, Clinical Informatics for the Walter Mackenzie Campus including Kaye Edmonton Clinic, Stollery Children’s Hospital, and University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. She received her Master’s in Nursing in 1992 with clinical nursing expertise in Pediatrics specifically Nephrology and Oncology.

Tracy has led a variety of clinical information systems implementations, stabilization and optimization support programs in acute care and ambulatory settings across BC and Alberta.

Tracy has been involved in national health informatics initiatives including the Canadian Nursing Informatics Association as Treasurer (2011 - 2020); Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN) Task force to develop Undergraduate Nursing Informatics Competences and Faculty Learning Resources (2011-2014); Canada Health Infoway’s Nurses Advisory Group advising on End-user nursing engagement strategies and Pan-Canadian Peer to Peer Network initiative; and C-HOBIC workshop participant on mapping Canadian clinical outcomes using ICNP. Tracy has also been active in other organizations such as HIMSS and Digital Health Canada.

Tracy was the first elected president of the Nursing Informatics Association of Alberta (2013 – 2015), a specialty practice group of the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA), interim president (2018-2023). She is the current President of NIAA 2023-2024.
