Hi,
I've been in healthcare for more than 20 years. I moved a lot from a nurse in a critical care setting and emergency unit in Montreal to contract nurse up north with Inuit, Atikamek and Cris nation in Québec and Ontario. I have also been a manager up north and in Montreal, program manager, coordinator, head nurse, executive adviser for a clinical information system, presently i'm back in the public sector as a clinical manager in nursing informatics after an expérience with a national vendor.
With the slow pace of political decision, the fast pace of technological advancement, nursing knowledge really needs to be there and ready to move the health care system forward in order to improve health care and catch up with the population expectation. On a more personal note, I've been an environmental militant for years and I'm the president of an environmental cooperative NGO in my neighborhood for more than 5 years.
