Multiparametric Patient Monitors: Harnessing High-Frequency Clinical Data for Nursing Informatics

This webinar will explore the untapped potential of multiparametric patient monitors as a source of high-frequency clinical data for nursing informatics. We will provide an overview of the types of physiologic data generated at the bedside, describe a local data pipeline developed to extract and structure monitor data for secondary use, and present preliminary validation findings comparing automatically captured hemodynamic variables with manually documented values. Practical applications for quality improvement, workflow optimization, and research in critical care settings will also be discussed.
